Finally, please forgive your brother, Shaikh Muhaiyaddeen (Louie Beutler), if there are any faults or mistakes in this Expanded Summary of Bawa Quotations.  This child is a fool living at the feet of His Shaikh, trying to get back into the "Oneness of God and True Man" from which we have all left in our ignorance, trying to get back to God through the grace, the wisdom, and the help of God.  Amen.

And as Bawa tells us at the bottom of page 7 in the Forward of the beautiful book of wisdom, "The Pearl of Wisdom",

"Let those who are knowledgeable correct any faults.
Forgive me the wrong and accept the good.  So I request."

1.  The True Nature of God Within Us - is Oneness

Expanded Summary:

Please click HERE to access an Expanded Summary for this Topic.

Summary:

The true nature of God within us is Oneness, God is One, there isn't anything but God, Only God exists, and the proper relationship of God and True Man is to reveal that Oneness of God, to reveal the "Oneness of God and True Man", which in truth is God and True Man within us.

And in this way, God is the "Oneness of God and True Man", God is the Oneness of the two aspects of God, of stillness and movement, One revealing the Other within It, with the movement of God which is True Man, which is what God does, revealing the stillness of God, revealing what God is, allowing the stillness of God, which is what God is, to reveal the movement of God, which is True Man, which is what God does, for the benefit of all of the Creation of God and of True Man within us.

Text of Bawa Quotation:

First Bawa asks us a question or riddle:

"What has incredible movement so it can stand perfectly still?"

Then Bawa's gives us His answer to the riddle:

"A hummingbird. A hummingbird has incredible movement so it can stand
perfectly still, and take its nourishment from deep within a flower."

"Like this, God has incredible movement outside so He can stand perfectly
still inside, and draw His Divine Knowledge or 'ilm from His Creation."
                                                                                                                                  - go to outline
2.  Our Proper Relationship With God Within Us - is "One with" God within us, and is "One with" what God is doing within us, which is God revealing Himself within us

Summary:

Our proper relationship with God within us is "One with" God within us, and is "One with" what God is doing within us, which is revealing True Man within the Creation of God within us, since in truth we do not exist as "separate from" God within us.

Our proper relationship with God is not being there, so God can be there, is not being there as "separate from" God, so God can be there as "One with" us, and we can be there as "One with" God, and as "One with" everything that God is "One with" within us.

Text of Bawa Quotation:

"If you are there God is not there, and if God is there you are not there."
                                                                                                                                  - go to outline
3.  Our Proper Relationship With The World Within Us - is as the witness of what God is doing within us, which is revealing True Man within us, so True Man can reveal God within us

Summary:

Our proper relationship with the world is as the witness of what God is doing within us, and within everyone else, which is revealing True Man within the Creation of God within us, if we will but allow Him, if we will by join Him in what He is doing within us.

Text of Bawa Quotation:

"Never have the thought that there is something that you have to do."
                                                                                                                                  - go to outline
4.  The Nature of God, of True Man, and of Us - we are all One

Summary:

The nature of God, of True Man, and of us, is that in truth we are all One, One within the other as One, One revealing the other within it, One hiding itself within the Other as One reveals the Other, with faith and trust that the One being revealed will then do the same, will again reveal the One being hidden, in the next cycle to come, in the next cycling of their relationship.

Text of Bawa Quotation:

"God is the Power within the Essence of Everything."
                                                                                                                                  - go to outline
5.  The Nature of Our Relationship With God - God alone is sufficient

Summary:

The nature of our relationship with God is the ultimate self fulfilling prophesy, that is, whatever we intend is what we will receive, guaranteed, making either God or us responsible for us, depending upon who we love and trust, either God, or "us" as "separate from" God

Text of Bawa Quotation:

"God alone is sufficient, if we believe with our Iman, with absolute faith,
certitude, and determination, without the slightest doubt, that God alone exists,
if we believe that this is true, that this is the truth of us, of God, and of
          everything"

"If not, if we don't have this Iman in God, then we must take responsibility for
our actions, and we will be judged accordingly.  The choice is ours."
                                                                                                                                  - go to outline
6.  The Relationship Between Our Mind, Our Wisdom, & God For This Age - our wisdom will stand up within us, when we learn to use God within us to control our mind and desire, when we learn to call our wisdom within us, allowing our wisdom to stand up within us, allowing God within our wisdom to be present within us, which we can do in this age by calling out the name "Bawa", or "Bawa Muhaiyaddeen", or "Shaikh Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him), the name of our Shaikh within us for this age, before we do or say anything, in this way, controlling our mind and desire in this age with God within us

Summary:

The relationship between our mind, our wisdom, and God, is like that between the earth, an apple seed buried within the earth ready to germinate, the apple tree hidden within the apple seed, and the apples and the sweet apple taste hidden within the apple tree that is hidden within the apple seed buried within the earth.  In truth they are all One.  But until the apple seed germinates there is no relationship, just a potential relationship.

Then after the apple seed germinates, this earlier relationship of "separation and differences", this earlier relationship between the earth and the apple seed of  "separate from", and this earlier relationship between the apple seed and the apple tree hidden within it, this earlier relationship of "separate from", ends, and the new relationship of "Oneness and Unity", the new relationship between the earth and the apple seed, between the apple seed and the apple tree hidden within it, and between the apple tree and the apples and the sweet apple taste all hidden within the apple tree, the new relationship of "One with" begins.

Text of Bawa Quotation:

"In order for the mind and desire of your lower self to sit down, the wisdom of
your inner self must stand up."
                                                                                                                                  - go to outline
7.  The True Shaikh-Disciple Relationship - is being One with each other

Summary:

The true Shaikh-Disciple relationship is a relationship of Oneness that happens within us between God, our wisdom, and our soul, when we truly join as One with our Shaikh within us, after we have truly joined as One with His disciples, with all that our Shaikh is One with, which are all of the Grandchildren, Sons and Daughters, and Brothers and Sisters of our Father, Shaikh Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhammad Rahim Bawa
Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him)

Text of Bawa Quotation:

"If two of you come together in My Name, I will be there."
                                                                                                                                  - go to outline
8.  How We Learn - by letting God move forward what He has already started within us, and what has God already started within us, He has started to reveal True Man within the Creation of God within us, which is the Oneness of God and His Creation, which is this earth world or the dunya within us, and within that, He has started to reveal Himself within the Creation of True Man within us, which is the Oneness of True Man and the Creation of True Man, which is the next world, which is akhirah within us

Summary:

We start to learn when we truly realize, without the slightest doubt, that in truth everyone is sitting on God's lap and our wisdom is teaching us "what we do not know".

We start to learn when we start to let this happen within us, when we start to let this be so within us.

We start to learn when we start to accept this as the given of our life, that whether we know it or not, whether we like it or not, whether we want it or not, that this is our birth right, our heritage, the true destiny of our soul.

And therefore, having realized, understood, accepted, and joined with this truth of ourselves, without the slightest doubt, we join with our Shaikh within us, and with God within our Shaikh, to stop acting as if we are "separate from" God, and "separate from" each other, and "separate from" the Creation of God within us.  And then we start to truly learn in our life.

Text of Bawa Quotation:

"We must let our wisdom teach us what we do not know."
                                                                                                                                  - go to outline
9.  Our True Story or History (The Kalimah) - is written on our forehead by God, which is the Kalimah of God, which is the story of True Man within the story of God, and the story of God within the story of True Man, which leads us to Completion and within that to God, which is our salvation

Summary:

Even before we came into this earth world, God personally wrote our true story (the kalimah) on our forehead, when He Created each of us as Adam (peace be upon Him) within Him, as His Pure Creation, as Insan Muhammad, from a handful of earth, doing all of this, writing our true story on our forehead, before God's Pen or Qalam wrote the fate of our life in this world on our forehead, which occurs when we are born into the world.

In this way, covering what God wrote earlier, and establishing our connection to our parents and to the place of birth within us, which we must then join with God within us to remove before we die, or our fate then becomes our life for eternity, instead of God's intention for us, instead of God's reason for having created us, which is revealed within us as the kalimah, as our true story, which is to reveal God to God within us for the benefit of all of the Creation of God within us.

Text of Bawa Quotation:

"The Kalimah of God, written on our forehead, is our true story, is the story of
True Man within the story of God, which is:

"La ilaha, iIl Allahu, Muhammadar Rasulullah - There is nothing other than
God, You Are Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of God".

"Which must become in our wisdom, before we die, in our surrender to our
Shaikh within us, and to God within Him, the story of God within the story of
          True Man, which is:

"Ill Allahu, La ilaha, Muhammad Mustafa Rasul (Sal.), You are True Man,
He is One - You are Allah, There is nothing other than You, Muhammad is
the Chosen Messenger of God, You are True Man, He is One".

                                                                                                                                  - go to outline
10.  Our False Story or History (our fate) - is also written on our forehead by God, which is our fate, which is the intentions of our parents, our connection to the place of birth, which currently covers our true story, and if not removed before we die, leads us to the Angle of Death (peace be upon Him), to the suffering of the grave, to Qiyamah
(the Standing Forth; the Day of Judgment), and to an eternal life of "separation from" God, which is our hell

Summary:

And when we came into this earth world, God also had His Pen or Qalam write our false story, our fate, on our forehead, which is the essence of the intentions of our parents collected by them during their life and deposited onto us at the moment of our conception, in this way, covering what God had personally written earlier, which is our true story or history, which is the kalimah of God, the affirmation of the truth of Allah, as quoted above.

And in this way, establishing our fate at the time of our birth, which is our connection to our parents and to the place of birth within us, establishing what we must then struggle with to be victorious in our life, which we can only win over by turning to God within us, by establishing a direct relationship with the power of God within us, which is God's grace, through our wisdom within us.

Text of Bawa Quotation:

Bawa teaches us in the book, "The Pearl of Wisdom", on page 111,

"After a man is born, it is said by everybody that his life is controlled by fate.
But, my Son, it is not so."

"Life is the victory of wisdom reasoning over our fate."

"Further, Son, fate and the planets (the grahas) are all involved inside the body."

the book, "The Pearl of Wisdom".

11.  The Nature of Our "Outside" And Our "Inside" - our outside is the example and our inside is the cause, the cause of the example that we are currently and falsely experiencing as "who we are', as "where we are", and as what is "happening" on the "outside' of us

Summary:

Our outside is the example and our inside is the cause, the cause of the example that we are currently and falsely experiencing as "who we are', as "where we are", and as what is "happening" on the "outside' of us, but which will all happen again, but this time within us, if we will but truly understand it, allowing the true cycle of us to move forward again, allowing the true "us" to continue going around again, if we will but let what is truly "happening" within us, which is God revealing True Man and True Man revealing God, come to completion again, but this time within us, by joining it, by becoming One with it, and in this way by understanding it.

This is like how an apple seed lets the apple tree happen again, but this time within it, by understanding the example, by understanding its "outside", and through that understanding by letting itself be destroyed, by surrendering to the earth, so the apple can happen again, by first revealing the apple tree within it.

If we do the same, if we use our outside to get to our inside, that is, allow "us" to move forward, allow "us" to come to completion within us, allow "us" to truly understand "who we are", and "where we are', and "what is happening" within us, before we die, by realizing, understanding, accepting, and joining with the "truth" of us that naturally emerges from within us, when we are ready, then through this true understanding we will transcend our current "outside", our current example, and become our current "inside", our current cause, before we die, allowing our current "outside" to end, our current "inside" to become our next "outside", our next example, with a new "inside", a new cause, occurring within us, becoming our next cause, and all of this must happen within us before we die, before the time limit of our current "outside" automatically ends, locking us, trapping us forever within our current "outside".

Text of Bawa Quotation:

Bawa teaches us in the beautiful wisdom book, "A Mystical Journey", starting at
          the bottom of page 31,

"From this vantage point,  let us look down and observe the city of the world,
the dunya. You can see so many wonders - seventy thousand varieties of lights,
colors, fruits, leaves, and other wondrous things."

"And yet that whole world is but a tiny dot, or nuqat, below the Arabic letter "ba"
(the Arabic letter for 'b', like in the word Bawa). Everything we see exists within
          this dot."

"From here we can also see the eighteen thousand universes. They are
contained within the sukun, the circle on top of the letter mim, the Arabic letter
for "m" (like in the word Muhaiyaddeen or Muhammad or Moses)."

"This sukun appears in Allah Muhammad. Allah is the support for this house,
the alif, the pillar for the sukun of the mim. Once the mim is supported by Allah,
          it becomes Allah Muhammad."

"Because Allah protects Muhammad (Sal.), the world of pure souls and the
eighteen universes, this house of the soul is absolutely indestructible. Have you
looked at this house? It is a mystery."

12.  Why Does An Apple Seed Germinate? - it realizes, understands, accepts, and
joins with the truth of itself that emerges from within it, before it dies, that it has come from the fruit to join with the earth to tell the story of the tree, and in this way, it allows the story of the apple tree within the story of the apple fruit, and the story of the apple fruit within the story of the apple tree, to move forward within it, before it dies

Summary:

An apple seed germinates because it becomes aware of itself, of its reality, and joins in partnership with its own reality, which is its "Oneness with", letting its falsehood end, which is its "separation from", by letting its truth or reality begin, by letting its "Oneness with" begin, by letting its "Oneness with" its "earthness", its "treeness", and its "fruitness" begin, and by letting its illusion or falsehood end, by letting its "separation from" end, by letting its "separation from" its "seedness" and "earthness" end, by letting its living in the earth in ignorance of itself and of the earth come to an end, before it dies in the earth in ignorance of itself, all the while trying to protect itself from being destroyed by the earth, which in truth is its salvation, which in truth is what allows it to "die before death", that allows it to germinate and reveal its "treeness" hidden within its "seedness".

Text of Bawa Quotation:

First Bawa asks us a question:

"Why does an apple seed germinate?"

Then Bawa gives us the answer to His question:

"An apple seed germinates because it becomes aware that it is an apple seed,
that it is buried within the earth, and that the earth contains everything necessary
for the apple tree within it to grow. Then the earth becomes aware that the apple
seed is now aware that it is an apple seed, that it is buried within the earth, and
that the earth contains everything necessary for the apple tree within it to grow."

"Then out of that mutual awareness, the earth surrenders to the apple seed and
the apple seed surrenders to the earth, and that is why an apple seed
          germinate."

"That is why an apple seed germinates, my dearest loving children, through
awareness, through the realization of the truth that emerges from within it, not
because of any influence of the 5 elemental forces that it is buried within."

"Like this, in truth man is the seed of God, and He is buried within God, and
God contains everything necessary for that seed of God to grow into the Tree of
          God, which is True Man."

"And when man comes to the point in his life when this truth of him emerges
from within him, and if at that time he realizes, understands, accepts, and joins
with that truth of him, then God within him will realize that man now knows "who
he is", that he is the seed of God, and that man now knows "where he is", that
he is within God, and God is within him, within the wisdom within him, like the
apple fruit is hidden within the apple tree that is hidden within the apple seed that
          is buried within the earth."

"And that man now knows "what is happening", that God is happening, by first
allowing True Man to happen, first allowing True Man to be revealed within the
Creation of God, first allowing the Tree of God to be revealed from within the
Seed of God, so True Man can then reveal God within the Creation of True Man,
so the Tree of God can then reveal the Fruit of God from within the Tree of God."

"And that man now knows, that God contains everything necessary for that seed
of God to grow into the Tree of God, into True Man within the Creation of God,
and for the Tree of God to bear fruit, to reveal God within the Creation of True
          Man."

"Then out of this mutual awareness, God surrenders to man and man surrenders
to God, and True Man is revealed within the Creation of God, within the 18,000
universes within this world, and then God is revealed within the Creation of True
Man, within the 99 qualities of God in the next world, and in this way revealing
the Oneness of God and True Man, which in truth is God and True Man".

          Amen, Amen, Ya Rabil Alameen.
          Amen, Amen, Ya Rahman Alameen.
          Amen, Amen, Ya Rahim Alameen.
          Al-hamdu lillah. Allahu Akbar.

So be it, So be it, O Ruler of the Universes.
So be it, So be it, O Most Merciful One.
So be it, So be it, O Most Compassionate One.
All praise and praising belong to God and to God alone.
          Only God is great.

13.  About God's Question of God In Anathi, "Who Am I?" - before God can answer His own question within Himself, "Who am I?, we must ask and answer the same question within us, "Who am I?, and to do this we must first understand "how God answers His own question", which is by God creating His Own Creation, by God then revealing True Man within His Creation, and by True Man then revealing God within the Creation of True Man.  And second we must understand what it mean for God to be successful within us, that to be successful God's final answer to God within us must be, "You are The "Oneness of God and True Man".  And third we must understand what it mean for God to fail within us, for God to fail to fully answer His own question within us, the question, "Who am I?", that is, how far God is able to answer God's Question, "Who Am I?", within each of us before we die, which is a measure of how much of "us" as "separate from" God and how much of "Us" as "One with" God, still remains within us when we die, which is a measure of what we are at the end of us, when we die, either "One with" God, or still "separate from" God, which is a measure of what we will let ourselves become in God's hands, is what we will allow God to do to us before we die, is how much of what God has discarded to become God that we will continue to hold onto up to our death, a measure of how much that God discarded to become God we will not let God discard again, but this time within us

Summary:

In Anathi, in the time before the beginningless beginning known as Aathi, God in ignorance of Himself asked God the question, "Who am I?", and then God answers God three times, in awwal, in dunya, and in akhirah, and in this way answering His question, and the first answer is awwal or the beginning, which is the world of souls, is the Creation of God, the first answer is,

"You are God (without an understanding of Yourself), You are the Creator, the
          Sustainer, and the Redeemer".

And the second answer is the dunya, the earth world that we are now experiencing as who we are, the second answer is ,

"You are True Man, You are the Oneness of God and the Creation of God".

And the third and final answer to God's question is akhirah or the hereafter, which is the kingdom of God, the third and final answer to the question asked by God of God in ignorance of Himself, the question, "Who am I?", the third and final answer is:

"You are God (with an understanding of Yourself), You are the Oneness of True
Man and the Creation of True Man, revealing in this way, that in truth "You are
the Oneness of God and True Man".
